Dave Walker presented the club with recognition awarded the club at our recent Area 4 Foundation Dinner.  The club was the only club in District 5190 to receive the Presidential Citation.  We also received the Every Rotarian Every Year 100% Member Participation, equating to $100 per member contributions, as well as the award for every member participating at the $100 level.    

 

 

Barb Ross graciously filled in for our speaker, who cancelled last minute, sharing about Treesorts.  She had pictures and a video of "Out n About" Treesort in Takilma, Oregon (near Cave Junction) where she and her husband recently stayed.  It was quite an adventure, especially during the night as the 20+ mile an hour winds moved the tree house, which made frightening groans.  Barb said she was afraid the siding was being ripped off or the tree house was coming a part.           

REMEMBER - PLEASE DONATE YOUR HOLIDAY “WOW” POINTS TO THE ROTARY CLUB OF PENN VALLEY!! Just ask the HOLIDAY cashier to donate your WOW points (in increments of 1000 points) to the Penn Valley Rotary.  (You might need to help them find us or ask for the manager to help the clerk find us in the system).  The Rotary Club receives a $20 gift card for each 1,000 points donated.  Your donation will be used to purchase HOLIDAY FOOD BASKETS FOR NEEDY PENN VALLEY FAMILIES!  THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATION!!!

PV Chamber would like to have Penn Valley Rotarians join in helping them with the Holiday Lights in the Park.  Opportunities exist 

 

December 15 from 10 am to 1 pm for set-up 

December 15 from 5 pm to 10 pm for manning the event, passing out goodie bags, collecting ballots for favorite light display, transporting donated food to Buttermaker Cottage, etc.

December 16 from 5 pm to 10 pm for manning the event, passing out goodie bags, collecting ballots for favorite light display, transporting donated food to Buttermaker Cottage, etc.

December 17 from 9 am to 12 pm for take down and clean up

December 19th — club meeting will be used to fill the Holiday Food Baskets/Bags for distribution.  It will be great fun being Santa's Helper!  Chamber will be there to help!
