As we start to close out 2019, we remember the special folks that have blessed us this year...to those who have moved on from our Rotary Club, we hope you found a place for fellowship and friendship while a part of our Rotary Club.  To those yet to join us, we look forward to new friends in the near future...

During our recess (no club meetings December 24 or December 31) we wish President-Elect Pamela a very happy birthday on December 31. Also, Jim McCabe and Chuck Zavitz on December 24...

I hope all who attended our Christmas Party on December 10 had a good time...the ugly sweater contest was won by Lin Marshall in her Christmas tree sweater dress,  with Prez-Elect Pamela a close second with her pink flamingo accessorized sweater...

At this week's meeting on Tuesday, December 17we will be stuffing Holiday Food Baskets for families selected by our Penn Valley School District as needing a little extra help.  These 30 food baskets will include perishable and non-perishable items that are purchased using WOW points at Holiday Market.  Special thanks to all that donated their WOW points.  Thanks so much to Debbi Corbett and Torie England for coordinating this event that extends our holiday Service Above Self to those in need in our community..

Also at our meeting we will be voting on our slate of officers for the 2020-2021 Rotary year that starts in July 2020...here is the slate as presented by the Nominating Committee: President -- Pamela Yazell; President Elect -- Open; Secretary -- Dan Halloran; Treasurer -- Ed McSweeney; Vice President -- Rick Nolle; SAA -- Mark Fleming; Past President -- Lindy Beatie. Any questions can be directed to President Lindy.

There will be some changes coming to the food options for next year. Players has requested we narrow down the alternative options for lunch. Tina will be presenting a monthly menu and two alternative options per week so as to lessen the burden on her kitchen staff.  I'm sure we all appreciate how accommodating Players has been over the years and know that we want to make our meeting there a win-win for both the club and Players.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Holiday Season!  We'll see  you back on January 7!!

Cheers!!

President Lindy
